We do our best to make sure you have a really, really, fun day.

WE’RE MORE THAN JUST A SHUTTLE SERVICE.
About the Coyote Shuttle
We are Moab’s original bike, paddle & hike shuttle service. In 2024 we celebrated our 30th year! We are here to provide fun and reliable transportation for you, your bike or transferring of your vehicle in this wonderful and crazy place we call home.
Coyote Shuttle strives to provide a unique experience for you while you are on vacation. We are constantly experimenting with really fun vehicles to add to our fleet. To date, we have used Volkswagen buses and Vanagons, stretch Vanagons, Unimogs and a 10 wheel drive army truck.
Our goal is to make your ride in the shuttle something to talk about when you get home. In our vans you’ll see the scenery, meet great new friends and get stoked for an epic ride on the Whole Enchilada or a fun float on the river.

New Owner of Coyote Shuttle Merrick Golz
OWNER and OPERATOR
Merrick Golz
If you ask Merrick where he is from, he will tell you “the south,” meaning Spearfish, South Dakota. Merrick grew up hiking and climbing in the Black Hills. He started mountain biking when he was 9 years old, and entered his first bike race at age 13. When he was 14, he took his first trip to Moab, where he rode his first ever mountain bike shuttle with Coyote Shuttle. He enjoyed that trip to Moab so much that a few years later, when he was 16, his family decided to move to Moab. Merrick has called this place home ever since.
Fast forward more than 20 years later, Merrick has had many jobs, but the bulk of his experience has been working in the mountain bike industry. He has been a bike mechanic, back-country mountain bike guide, and in the last few years, the general manager of a mountain bike touring company. He also built and managed the Aquarius Trail Hut System in southern Utah. When it comes to mountain biking, you’ll be hard pressed to find another person who knows more about trails in the western United States. In addition to his knowledge about bikes and trails, Merrick is also a skilled handyman, and can fix just about anything.
Merrick has been friends with the founders of Coyote Shuttle, Jesse Marshall and Kris Jensen, for many years. He is honored to be taking over as Coyote Shuttle’s new owner/operator. Merrick is a workaholic by nature, but when he does get some down-time you can find him riding his mountain bike, dirt bike, spending time with his fiancé, Whitney, and remodeling their home. One of his favorite sayings is “if they don’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy!”

Our shuttles are driven by riders for riders.
Everyone who drives a Coyote Shuttle is a rider who knows Moab and knows the area trails. We can update you about trail conditions, new trails since your last visit and pretty much everything else you need to know to have a great trip to Moab. Don’t be shy to ask.
